Top up your Covid-19 Vaccination

Blandford Community Hospital is running a walk-in for Covid-19 vaccinations on Saturday and Sunday, 18/19 June 2022. Please check if there are other dates arranged.

Storm Eunice – Friday 18 February 2022

As you may have seen, Storm Eunice is expected to hit Dorset this evening and into tomorrow.

The council has made the difficult decision to advise schools to close and has suspended many services tomorrow/on Friday as 100mph winds are predicted to hit the county from Thursday night into Friday morning and through to the evening.

To help keep yourselves and others safe, please consider the following:

  • Secure loose items in your garden, such as trampolines and furniture covers.
  • Consider whether you need to travel. If you don’t, it may be best to stay at home.
  • If you do have to travel, take extra care. Drive to the conditions and watch out for debris on the roads.
  • Spotted a tree down or another obstruction on the highway? Let us know using online.

eConsult Changes – Blandford Group Practice

Changes to our e-Consult service

Due to significant demand across our sites, the Blandford Group Practice e-Consult service is now available Monday to Friday during the hours of 8am to 8pm.

This change will enable us to better balance how we deliver your care, and allow us to continue the life-saving COVID-19 booster programme.

We are still committed to offering patients appointments in the most appropriate way for them, be that face-to-face, by phone, or video chat.

If you require medical advice outside of practice opening hours, NHS 111 is always available online (111.nhs.uk) and by phone. Trained operators can direct you to the most appropriate service for your needs.

If you are in an emergency or life-threatening situation, please call 999.

Stourpaine Litter Pick – 18 Sep 2021

Community Litter Pick
10.00am Saturday 18th September 2021

Stourpaine Parish Council are looking for a team of volunteers to clear litter in the village on Saturday 18th September from 10.00am to 11.00am. Meet in the car park of the White Horse Public House at 10.00am. Some equipment will be provided but please wear gloves, appropriate clothing and strong shoes or boots. We look forward to seeing you. All help gratefully received.  		 Help keep our village clean   Volunteers are needed by Stourpaine Parish Council for a community litter pick   Meet at the White Horse Public House on Saturday 18th September 2021 at 10.00am   Some equipment will be provided but please wear gloves, appropriate clothing and strong shoes
