Please help us to help you by keeping a timely\u00a0check on your regular medications. We want\u00a0to offer you an efficient service so we need 2\u00a0full working days notice for your\u00a0prescription request (and if your prescription\u00a0is collected by one of the pharmacies please\u00a0allow them an extra day as well). Your\u00a0prescription should then be ready on time.
\nWe deal with more that 500 repeat\u00a0prescriptions each week and although some\u00a0people think that repeat prescriptions just\u00a0involve the doctor signing a piece of\u00a0prescription slip, there are a good number of\u00a0checks made each time you send in a repeat\u00a0slip. We check that \u00a0you are using the\u00a0medication correctly (not taking too much or too little), whether or not you are due for\u00a0your annual review, whether you have had all\u00a0necessary tests to enable you to continue the\u00a0medication and whether those tests have\u00a0thrown up any queries.<\/p>\n

Please think of this when you check your\u00a0medication and send in your repeat slip. We\u00a0are pleased to take repeat requests by\u00a0e-mail: eaglehouse.rec@dorset.nhs.uk<\/a>\u00a0(or written requests dropped into the\u00a0Surgery). The return of your repeat slip or\u00a0written request is far safer than a telephone\u00a0request; however, telephone requests are still\u00a0accepted for housebound patients if\u00a0necessary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
