{"id":2271,"date":"2015-11-14T10:06:25","date_gmt":"2015-11-14T10:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stourpaine.info\/matters\/?p=2271"},"modified":"2015-11-14T10:06:25","modified_gmt":"2015-11-14T10:06:25","slug":"dorset-police-alerts-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stourpaine.info\/matters\/2015\/11\/14\/dorset-police-alerts-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Dorset Police Alerts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following alerts have been received from Dorset Police &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Knotting<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>There has been a report of &#8216;knotting&#8217; occurring overnight in the West Stour area of Gillingham.<\/p>\n<p>Access has been gained to the horses field and the mane has been knotted.<\/p>\n<p>Although we do not believe this is a way of marking horses for theft (why would you when most mobile phones have cameras?) we would like to remind horse owners to re check on the animals safety and security.<br \/>\nThe owner will now be bringing the horses in overnight and we have discussed yard security with her in reference to lighting and locks.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like any advice, please reply via this email or contact us on facebook via the Dorset Horsewatch page.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Burglaries in Sturminster Newton <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Officers in the North Dorset area are becoming increasingly concerned after a series of thefts from properties in the Sturminster Newton area.<\/p>\n<p>In the past two weeks there has now been four reported\u00a0occasions where someone has entered\u00a0properties and food and\/or drink has been taken from external areas.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we have had a confirmed report of a burglary\u00a0where a jewellery box and contents\u00a0have been stolen. At this time, these occurrences have not been linked but the Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to remind residents to secure their buildings and property.<\/p>\n<p>We would also like to encourage people to report any suspicious behaviour at the time\u00a0via the 101 telephone number or call us on 999 if you believe a crime is taking place.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Burglary at a property under renovation in Iwerne Minster <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">A burglary occurred overnight on\u00a0Thursday 12th\u00a0November\u00a0between\u00a011:30 pm and 6:30 am\u00a0at a\u00a0property under renovation. This was located\u00a0between the Tower Hill Crossroads and the Mill St.Crossroads\u00a0on the C13 near to Iwerne Minster.
