Stourpaine 2013 Village \u00a0F\u00eate

It may seem early days to let readers know that the Stourpaine Village F\u00eate<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0will be held in the village at the end of June this year.\u00a0 Hopefully the awful weather we have been having will be a distant memory and that visitors to the f\u00eate\u00a0will be able to enjoy a great summer\u2019s afternoon of entertainment.\u00a0 Apart from the more traditional stalls offering books, bric a brac, cakes, bakes and local produce for sale, a number of events are being organised for all to enjoy.\u00a0 Mr Mark Farwell<\/span> <\/strong>will be bringing his two magnificent steam engines to the f\u00eate\u00a0\u2013 a miniature version of the Great Dorset Steam Fair.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Also plans are in hand to welcome back to Stourpaine<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, the Shooting Stars Theatre Company<\/span><\/strong><\/a> who staged their own version of Shakespeare\u2019s \u201cMuch Ado About Nothing\u201d last year at the White Horse<\/a><\/strong> pub.\u00a0 This year they plan to stage their stage version of \u201cThe Wind in the Willows\u201d at the f\u00eate.\u00a0 Other forms of entertainment will include a ferret racing, an impromptu dog show, a collection of vintage cars, tug of war and lots of entertainment for children.<\/p>\n

With the Trailway<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>now open between Blandford and Sturminster Newton, people will be able to stop for refreshments at the Stourpaine Village F\u00eate<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
