This is another chance for you to help shape the future development of our Parish

The Stourpaine Parish Plan 2007 is being updated. An Open Day was held on the 6^th October in the Village Hall for residents to make comments and voice their opinions.

Following analysis of the comments made, questionnaires have been prepared that will be distributed to all residents in the Parish.

The questionnaires will be delivered between the 12^th and 18^th November. We hope that you will complete your questionnaire by the 25^th November and then either:

return it to your distributor (you will be given their details with the questionnaires)
leave it in the collection box in the Village Shop
or wait for it to be collected by your distributor

The Wheelies are Coming

New recycle for Dorset collection service – dorsetforyou.com.

Stourpaine is in Tranche 2 so service in for July 2013.

The ‘recycle for Dorset’ service at a glance

With the new ‘recycle for Dorset’ service, you have one regular collection day. Food waste is collected every week together with either recycling or rubbish, which are collected on alternate weeks. The standard ‘recycle for Dorset’ service consists of:

A weekly collection of food waste using a 7-litre brown indoor caddy and a 23-litre brown outdoor food bin
A fortnightly collection of recycling using 240-litre wheelie bin with a green lid (for paper and cardboard; plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays; tins and cans; and aerosols), your existing green recycling box (for glass bottles and jars), and a small reusable bag for household batteries
A fortnighly collection of household rubbish using a 140-litre grey wheelie bin

You can also apply for an optional, fortnightly garden waste service using either a 240-litre wheelie bin (for £35 a year) or a 120-litre reusable bag (for £25 a year).
