Stourpaine Litter Pick – 18 Sep 2021

Community Litter Pick
10.00am Saturday 18^th September 2021

Stourpaine Parish Council are looking for a team of volunteers to clear litter in the village on Saturday 18^th September from 10.00am to 11.00am. Meet in the car park of the White Horse Public House at 10.00am. Some equipment will be provided but please wear gloves, appropriate clothing and strong shoes or boots. We look forward to seeing you. All help gratefully received.

Stourpaine Village Litter Pick – 18 September 2021

The Stourpaine Parish Council have set the date for this year’s Litter Pick, which will be held on Saturday 18th September.
If anyone would like to volunteer to help with the litter pick just turn up at the White Horse Pub at 10:00.
We would recommend that you bring your own gloves.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – A357 BLANDFORD ROAD, SHILLINGSTONE

The A357 BLANDFORD ROAD, SHILLINGSTONE has an emergency road closure notice that will come in to operation from Sunday 31^stJanuary 2021 and will remain in force for 21 days.

Wessex Water will work extended working hours 7 days a week, however will not work overnight due to the residential nature of the area.

A manned closure will be introduced between Durweston Bridge to Bridge Street, Sturminster Newton – this is to ensure HGVs don’t drive in to the ‘road closed’ area as there will be nowhere for them to turn around.

Access for residents and emergency services will be maintained and signage will be put out in the surrounding villages to indicated that the routes are not suitable for HGV traffic.

Three extra days – Free December Parking

There will be free parking in Dorset Council car parks on Saturdays during December in Beaminster, Blandford, Bridport, Dorchester, Ferndown, Gillingham, Lyme Regis, Shaftesbury, Sturminster Newton, Wareham, Weymouth and Wimborne.

Dorset Council offers free parking days for residents and businesses this Christmas

In Sherborne, having previously been approved earlier this year, town centre car parks will be free on selected Mondays instead.
