This is the interesting month, when seeds sown so patiently last month or earlier start to show their little heads. You can almost watch them grow day by day. Then when they are a good size, pot them on, giving each the best start in life.
- Shrubs you didn’t get a chance to prune in March should be pruned now, i.e., shrub roses, buddleia, dogwoods, willows, cotinus and after flowering, forsythia.
- Remove the faded flowers of pansies and primulas.
- Plant Dahlia tubers outside at least 10 cm deep.
